Binder Grösswang Appoints New Counsels
The commercial law firm Binder Grösswang is starting the new business year with three new counsels:
- Counsel Sabine Apfl-Trompeter, focussing on employment law
- Counsel Philipp Tagwerker, focussing on capital market law
- Counsel Thomas Stiglbauer, focussing on real estate law
Sabine Apfl-Trompeter has been with Binder Grösswang since 2013 and is being promoted to Counsel at the beginning of the new business year. The expert in employment law has years of experience advising Austrian and international companies in the fields of collective and individual employment law.
The focuses of her practice include restructurings, service agreements and bonus systems, staff reductions and the termination of employment contracts, law combatting wage dumping and social dumping, the employment of foreign citizens, and the posting of workers.
Sabine Apfl-Trompeter studied law at the University of Vienna (Mag. iur. 2012).
Philipp Tagwerker has been part of the Binder Grösswang team since 2019 and will start the new business year in the position of Counsel. He is an expert in capital market law as well as corporate/M&A, and has extensive experience in capital market law and takeover law.
Philipp Tagwerker studied law at the University of Innsbruck (Mag. iur. 2009) and completed postgraduate studies (M.A.) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in the US. Prior to joining Binder Grösswang, he was employed with other renowned Austrian law firms and as an advisor on renewable energy policy in the US.
Thomas Stiglbauer will join Binder Grösswang’s real estate team in the position of Counsel on 1 February 2024. He started his legal career as a university assistant at the Department of Civil Law of the University of Vienna and then worked successively as an associate, an attorney-at-law and a counsel at an international law firm in Vienna.
His expertise covers all areas of real estate law, in particular international transactions and lease agreements as well as real estate litigation.
Thomas Stiglbauer studied law at the University of Vienna (Mag. iur. 2010) and completed post-graduate studies (LL.M.) at Queen Mary University of London.
